This past Saturday afternoon, Bay Dance Academy hosted an unforgettable inaugural Dance Showcase, and it was an honor to be part of such a special event. The excitement and energy were palpable as the venue filled with enthusiastic supporters, including many parents of the academy’s students.

The showcase featured eight stunning dance performances, highlighting the diverse talents nurtured by Bay Dance Academy. The event was particularly special as it included participants from a special summer program run by the academy, catering to children aged 7 to 13. It was inspiring to see so many of these young dancers take the stage, demonstrating the skills and passion they developed during the program.

A highlight of the afternoon was the special appearance by Laxman Adhikari and his team, who performed enchanting folk Nepali songs. Their performance added a rich cultural dimension to the showcase and resonated deeply with the audience.
As the showcase concluded, Certificates of Appreciation, Accomplishment, and Participation were presented, recognizing the hard work and achievements of the students and everyone involved in making the event a success. This moment was a fitting tribute to the dedication and effort put in by the performers, instructors, and the entire team.
It was a pleasure to share the stage with fellow speakers Ishwar Sitaula and Preetesh Karki, who also praised the academy’s remarkable achievements. Most of the speaker and host highlighted Bay Dance Academy’s impressive contributions to the community over the past year, including their participation in the Asian Cultural Festivals, the Indian Community’s Independence Day program, the Nepal Day parade, and various other Bay Area events.
A heartfelt thank you to all who made this afternoon so memorable—the talented dancers, the supportive parents, the dedicated instructors, and the incredible team led by Anita Khatri. Your collective efforts have created a vibrant and successful event, and I look forward to seeing many more achievements from Bay Dance Academy in the future.
Here’s to continued success and many more joyful celebrations in the years to come. Keep dancing and inspiring us all!
