As a charter member and past president of the Berkeley Annapurna Lions Club, representing our clubs from the San Francisco Bay Area and District 4-C3 and the entire Lions community, I am pleased to share the great news that our own club’s lion elected to the prestigious position of District Governor of our District 4-C3. At the 105th Lions International Conference recently held in the vibrant city of Boston, Lion Manil Babu Shrestha took the oath in front of thousands of world Lions leaders as New District Governor for the lion year 2023- 2024!
This convention brought together accomplished individuals from around the world who share a deep commitment to service and making a positive impact in their communities. With each passing year, our Lions Clubs International family grows stronger, united by a common purpose of service.

The Inspiring Leadership of International President Dr. Patti Hill:
At the forefront of this convention was the remarkable leadership of International President Dr. Patti Hill, a Lion with over 32 years of dedicated service. Dr. Hill’s unwavering passion for social justice, her relentless pursuit of helping others reach their full potential, and her steadfast devotion to creating a better world for all people have left an indelible mark on our Lions Clubs International community. We are immensely proud to celebrate her leadership and the positive changes she continues to bring to our organization.

Celebrating District Governor Lion Manil Babu Shrestha:
A moment of great pride and joy for our Clubs and the San Francisco Bay area community came when District Governor Lion Manil Babu Shrestha, from our own Berkeley Annapurna Lions Club, took the oath to lead District 4-C3. His appointment as District Governor is a testament to his exceptional dedication and commitment to service. Lion Manil Babu Shrestha’s presence at the convention served as an inspiration not only to our club members but to all Lions in attendance.
