Introduction:
Since 2008, I have had the privilege of being a blood donor in the San Francisco Bay Area, contributing to the noble cause of saving lives. Over the years, I have donated blood more than 20 times through various channels, including independent visits to the Red Cross and blood drives organized by esteemed organizations like the Lions Clubs of Berkeley Annapurna, in partnership with other Nepalese Lions Clubs and the Association of Nepalese in America (ANA).

On June 17, 2023, an important blood drive is scheduled to take place at 1111 Navellier St, El Cerrito 94530, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. I encourage you all to join me in this lifesaving event.

The Joy of Donating Blood:
Donating blood is a selfless act that holds immense value for both the donor and the recipient. It fills me with an indescribable sense of fulfillment, knowing that my contribution can potentially save someone’s life. The feeling of making a positive impact and offering hope to those in need is truly humbling. Every time I donate blood, I am reminded of the power we possess to bring about positive change in the world.

Pandemic Precautions:
Even during these challenging times of the pandemic, I have continued to donate blood while adhering to strict safety protocols. The Red Cross has taken every necessary measure to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for donors. Rest assured that your health and safety are their utmost priority.

Inspiration from Arjun Mainali:
My journey as a blood donor began during an ANA convention in Oakland, where I had the honor of meeting Arjun Mainali, a true pioneer in the blood drive movement. His inspiring words and dedication to regular blood drives ignited a passion within me to make a difference. Since then, the Lions Club and I have been organizing blood drives to help meet the constant demand for blood in our communities.

Encouragement to the Community:
I urge all community members, both regular donors and those considering donating for the first time, to come forward and participate in the upcoming blood drive on June 17th. Your single donation can potentially save up to three lives, making an immeasurable impact on families and individuals in need.

Conclusion:
As a long-standing blood donor, I can confidently say that the feeling of donating blood is incomparable. It is a testament to our humanity, compassion, and willingness to help others in their time of need. The Lions Club of Berkeley Annapurna, in collaboration with its partners, has organized this blood drive at 1111 Navellier St, El Cerrito, on June 17th, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Let us come together as a community, transcend borders, and demonstrate the power of collective generosity by donating blood. Your contribution can save lives and bring hope to those who need it the most. See you there!
